      All 1979-82 Corvette frames used a bolted-in crossmember, regardless of manual or automatic transmission. So, for any given year in this range, the frames are the same for manual and auto trans equipped cars.

      The 80-81 with manual transmission used a unique bracket for the frame mount of the clutch cross shaft. If I recall correctly, this bracket was a bolt-on piece, but I could be wrong on this. 1963-79 used a welded-on bracket for sure.

      I don't think that the 80-81 frames were supplied with the bracket if an automatic transmission was originally installed in the car.
