C1 BRAKE HOSE

I bought 4 brake hoses for my 1961. They are much smaller in diamiter then the old ones. Are all the replacement brake hoses like that? Thanks, Joe

No--GM ones from the past, and Bumper to Bumper stores at the present, among others, are the right outside diameter.

Joe,

I suspect that my 56 is the same brake layout as your 62, and so, you should only have 3 hoses - one goes from the junction block to each front wheel cylinder and the third goes from the rear of the long brake line that extends down the frame to a junction block on the rear end housing. The replacement hoses I bought were dimensionally the same as the original ones. It sounds like you have the wrong hoses. Good Luck Steve
