What is the easiest way to change the headlight warning bulb behind the dash cluster? This is the warning light for indicating the headlight buckets are not open when and the headlights are on.

Re: C2 Headlight Warning Light
Most pull the instrument cluster due to tight quarters and difficulty to reach. But, I have seen talented mechanics with slender hands and long skinny fingers be able to make the reach with the instrument cluster installed!
Last, remember the warning indicators in the upper center of the cluster are special flashing lamps (still available from places like NAPA) and your owner's manual will give you the proper bulb number....- Top

Re: C2 Headlight Warning Light - Mine Doesn't Work
This posting triggered a question I meant to ask a while back about the headlamp warning light. Mine flashes continuosly when the headlights are on, whether or not the buckets are up. If it is not to difficult, I would like to fix the problem. Any ideas on where to start? Thanks in advance, Dan- Top

Re: C2 Headlight Warning Light - Mine Doesn't Work
Check the connections to the 'micro switches' on each headlight bucket pivot. These I believe, are 'normal closed' switches, with power applied to their circuit when the headlights are turned on, causing the headlight warning to illuminate (flash, if the correct type bulb is in place) until the doors are fully open, which should open the micro switches (if they're serviceable and connected/installed correctly), extinguishing the warning light. The same occurs (in reverse) once you begin to close the doors with the headlight still on until you turn off the headlight itself.- Top
