When I drive my '57 in the morning, the fuel and temp gauges fog up on the inside of the lens. After a while they clear up. Does anyone know why this happens and what could be done to prevent it?....thanks

Re: '57 Gauge fogging
Rex,
This is very common. The captured air within these gauges is heated by the small electric coils doing their thing. You might try applying anti-fog to the backside of the lenses, or drilling holes in the dial case backside top to let the heated air excape (sounds like a good way to ruin a very rare case). I've done nether because it requires dissassembly. I just live with this and consider it part of what gives these old Corvettes "character." Regards,- Top
