C3 Windshield Frame Paint Color

Can someone please tell me what the correct color for the windshield frame should be? The original frame had so many different colors I wasn't able to determine which is correct. Also what color is the VIN number tag painted? Thanks, Art Ives #37880

The frame on mine was a kind of semi dull black and the vin tag was the same as I remember. There was also a green chromate under that. I replaced some rusted sections and used POR 15 to help with any future rust and then coated that in visible areas with less glossy black, (I don't remember which paint I used but it may have been John Deere "Blitz Black").

Thanks, Parts of mine were low gloss black. Some of it was body color and I also did see some green. I have made my repairs and will start paint process in the next day or so. Thanks, Art Ives
