C1 turn signal canceling doesn't work

The canceling mechanism on my 56 turn signals does not work. Everything appears to be there. Other than not much detent on the switch, I don't see anything wrong with it.

Any suggestions on what could be wrong or where to start?

    thanks

      Dave,
Joe Calcagno wrote an excellent article on the '53-'62 signal switch in "The Restorer", Vol. 15 #4. I'm not about to type it out, three pages (and contains pictures). If you want me to mail it to you it send me your address off line. Regards,
