    C3 Paint

I am looking for the correct color paint (flat black?) to refinish my shift plate bezel and cluster gauge bezel on my 1968. The color I last used did not quite match the reproduction shift pattern insert. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

    John,

I prefer SEM brand Trim Paint, original color (i.e. not their glossy black). I think it works better than the Krylon semi-flat black.

Either way, I find I get less fisheyes and other problems if I first use a self-etching primer from a spray bomb.
