    Fan Clutch. 1967 vette small-block.

I am trying to replace my fan clutch with a new correct unit.
Chevrolet dealers seem to only offer one unit fits all, along with all the other corvette parts suppliers. The NCRS tech manual states that the big and
small blocks were different. Small blocks stamped CJ, flange to fan boss meas-
uring 1.8 inches. Big blocks stamped CK, with the flange to fan boss measuring
    1.5 inches.

All the new ones (clutch fits all)are stamped CK, measuring
1.5 inches. Will this clutch be acceptable?

It's as "acceptable" as you can get in a NEW fan clutch. All aftermarket-type units are configured far differently than the originals. The GM-sourced clutch (of Eaton manufacture) is about as close as you can get. Otherwise, you will need to locate a used original and have it rebuilt by someone like Fred Oliva.

      PS

If correct factory concours authenticity is the objective, Fred Oliva has a limited number of original 'cores' to service those who've lost their factory original fan clutches. Once in a while, he puts 'em on the eBay auction block. So, adding on to Joe's good advice, if you're missing the original fan clutch 'core', Fred just might be able to fix you up with a 'whole blood/turn key' solution....
