    71 radio block-off plate

On my newly-acquired 71 LT-1 (don't worry '62 guys, I'm still loyal and faithful) they had hacked an 8-track into the radio area, right through the original radio block-off plate. I know originals are not common--was there a reproduction done? If so, how would I tell if I'm getting an original vs. a repro? Anyone know a source for an original?
Thanks in advance for your help!

    Mike------

The originals are easily discernable from the reproductions with the plate OFF the car. Reproductions have the 2 mounting posts attached directly to a virtually flat rear of the plate. Originals have large (about 3/4" OD), round cast bosses on the back of the plate which rise about 3/16", or so. The two retaining studs are mounted in the center of the bosses.

Originals pop up on eBay once-in-awhile and, usually, sell for big bucks (like $200-300).
