I prefer to use the GM part #3916141 fan clutch for driving around.
It is somewhat similar in apppearance to the original. I use the original bar
type 35 year old fan clutch for judging situations only.

I would have to agree with John. I have had some problems with the original clutch fan on my BB '66 and on Tuesday night I replaced it with the GM # 3916141 service replacement fan. It's very original looking and the installation has made a world of difference. My original will be sent out for rebuilding over the winter and be keeped for judging events.
