    CORVETTE MANUAL / FAST STEERING

HI, I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS, THE FIRST IS; I HAVE A 1959 CORVETTE ASSEMBLY MANUAL FROM CORVETTE AMERICA, IS THIS A DIFFERENT MANUAL FROM THE AIM I HERE SO MUCH ABOUT? THE NEXT IS I FOUND THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THIS CAR AND THEY SENT ME A FAST STEERING ADAPTER W/STUD KIT, HOW IS THIS MOUNTED? THANKS SCOTT

This adapter bolts around the third arm. The tie rod ends go into the adapter plate instead of the third arm. The "U" clamp goes around the arm. It's impossible to install this part incorrectly.

If It's a reproduction it won't work! Use only an original fast steering adapter.

Also what do you hope to accomplish with this installation?

        Dale,
Please be specific on "if it's a repro it won't work." Educate me (and the rest of us) on what's not to work? Possibly he wants less wheel turn per wheel turn. I've had a quick steer on my Corvette since 1960, wouldn't have it anyother way! Regards,

The geometery is incorect on the reproduction piece.

I run a QSA as well. Even with 2.25 x 15 tires! Just want to know if people are doing things with an objective in mind. Some times it helps to think about what yor goals are before adding parts. This car evidently has the HD Brake and steering option!

          Dale.
