I have been receiving conflicting information relative to the "correct" grille assembly for a 1968 Corvette. This particular car was produced on March 29, 1968. Should the grille be "Black" or "Black with a Silver" Highlighted Front?
ALL 1968 Corvettes were produced with grilles which had a "silverish" leading edge. Early 1969 Corvettes also used the 68 grilles, but most 69s used the "all black" grilles. So, while some 69's received 68 grilles, no 68's received 69-style grilles. At least, there is no documentation that any 68s used the 69-style grilles.
