    mid-year hardtop

I just completed restoration of the hardtop for my '66 roadster. While the restoration was in progress, I was under the impression that the rear bolt keyhole bracket would line up where the convertable top fits into the rear deck. It does not appear such is the case. The top fits nice in the front and lines right up with the side hold down anchor nuts. What does the rear bolt keyhole bracket do?? If anything.

There should be two bolts on the hard top which bolt through the rear deck panel behind the convertable top holes. The holes should be already in your rear deck.
