I found myself bottoming out to the rear u-joint a while back and noticed the cushion, both top and bottom were shot so I replaced them with the polyurethane set. Everything was fine until a passenger gets in the car (130 lbs) and I bottom out again, not as bad as before but still not acceptabel. Any suggestions? TIA Ray

Ditch the polyurethane cushions - they are significantly thinner than the correct OEM rubber ones, which is moving the nose of the diff upward just enough to cause your problem, especially when the floor pan is deflected by the weight of a passenger. I see this same complaint on all the other Corvette forums every day from people who have replaced the OEM front diff bracket cushions with polyurethane in the belief that the polys are somehow superior - they aren't, in spite of all the marketing hype.- Top
