I removed an old master cylinder from my 63. The part number on it was 618081. Date code was G18. I's not correct for a Corvette. I don't want to throw it out and thought if I could find it's proper usage I might be able to find a home for it. Does anyone have an idea what it came out of? Thanks for the help>

Bob,
According to my records 618081 is not GM released part number. The "block" of numbers that 618081 would have come from(613001---643000) was what GM called "in Reserve" and never (issued) used.
It could have been a suppliers part number, but it would not have been a GM Division supplier.
