    56 speedometer drive gear

Does anyone have the correct speedometer drive gear tooth count for C-1s that corresponds to the various differential ratios? I have an assortment of drive gears but do not know which cooresponds to 3.70s, 3.55s, etc. I thought the ST-12 might have it - but can't find it anywhere. Thanks Steve

    Steve-----

The following will GENERALLY be the case for C1s. However, there are too many factors which get involved and complicate things to make a RULE out of this subject. ALL of the following assume STOCK tire size and/or OD:

    3.08:1= 20 tooth count (61-62)

    3.27:1= 19 tooth count) (1956-only)

    3.36:1= 20 tooth count (61-62)

    3.55:1= 21 tooth count

    3.70:1= 22 tooth count

    4.11:1= 24 tooth count

4.56:1= 20 tooth count STEEL gear (used with different DRIVE gear)

Joe, As usual - You Da man! Thanks for the info. It should save me from swapping gears under the 56 after the body is back on. Steve
