Vendor Problem

I wonder if any other NCRS member has had business dealings with this vendor that I met at his table at the NCRS show in January in Orlando.

I sent my 1966 Power Brake Booster to him for plating and restoring on May 29, 2002. My check was cashed in June, I have called many times and left messages.
Earlier he replied with excuses about problems with platers, employee errors etc. Now I'm get no reply at all. Anybody else have problems?

I used Rudy about 8-9 years ago to put stainless steel inserts in my 66's calipers. He did a quick turn around and the brakes worked flawlessly out of the box. The one thing he didn't send me was a bill of sale or a warranty. I wrote him several times and talked to him at two different Corvettes at Carlisle meets and he always said he would mail that out. Never did.

Over a year ago I paid for a set of 67 brake and fuel lines from him at Carlisle. Was told if I paid then I would get free shipping. I am still waiting.......

Vender Watch List

How about a seperate page here with a "Vendor Watch List" that would list vendors where there have been issues along with outcomes. It could also allow for vendor responses.

Tom, We have been down this road before, the short answer is SLIM TO NONE!!
