Does anyone have information about the company that made knock offs Kelsey-Hays.
Was the company under another name before it became Kelsey-Hays who bought them, where did there molds go etc. I am still researching my knock offs. I have learned some interesting things about my knock offs, due to the help of one of you readers of this website which faxed me an artical. This is what I do know about my KOs - they are nearly 30 years old, they don't have safety pins,(which I understand that ALL repro KOs had safety pins) the serial number on the back in the casting is inside a oval shape which says D-49985 which is the same as KH wheels and after looking closer at the picture I took of mine it appears that letters above the serial number have been partially covered in the cast and they look like the letters K-H. I am guessing that maybe these are wheels made form KH molds but were changed by the company who bought them and they added their logo - the letters HBA inside a diamond shape. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Thanks
