    63 fan clutch

    hi,what is the correct size for the fan clutch 6" or 7" the jobber book shows a 7" but i think it should be 6",the one on the car now is 7"with a 34"i.d. hole which doesn't match the w-pump shaft..........ian

    All the early fan clutches were 6-inch. The larger housing (7.25-inch) didn't begin to enter production until after '70. The JG (Judging Guide) book will describe the two alternate suppliers for a correct factory original clutch for your car (Eaton-coil type and Schwitzer-bar type) in terms of what the face & body/fins should look like as well as the shaft....
