C#: history of 71 Black LT1 from Ohio?

Recently purchased a 71 LT1 Coupe from the Ohio area. Car is manual steeering, manual brakes,M21 with 411 with black vinyl interior. Car is painted Black with correct white LT1 stripes. Car was originally Warbonnet Gold.

Does anyone know of the history behind this car? Thought there might not be too many LT1's painted black from Ohio-Columbus area I think!!

Hi Pete, Sound like a real nice car, Good Luck with it. Color was War Bonnet Yellow code 989. No black in 1970-1976 last year for black from St. Louis was 1969 color brought back in 1977 Corvette model year. So you have a very special car black is the best.>George Save the Wave.
