I've sandblasted and primed my 66 roadster chassis and am preparing to reassemble the rolling chassis. I used a zinc phosphate primer that can be filled over. I filled the pits in my control arms and will do the same for the trailing arms. I plan to fill the major pits in my chassis with Evercoat body glaze filler and than apply a sprayable filler over the entire part of the chassis that will be seen. I will go lightly on the filler around the welds, rivets, etc., so as not to disturb the original fabricated finish of the chassis. Any one have experience with a similar situation?
