New derangement; Noticed the fan belt munching on the lower radiator hose. I think the pulley is incorrect on the generator (#1102043 lower HP twin 4bbl on 58). I think it is missing the 1/4inch spacer between the pulley and the fan. I tried to look for pictures in the vette and passenger shop manuals but could not find it. Any suggestions or email of a picture would help. The generator was sent out for a rebuild by the previous owners chevrolet dealer service. The other thing is the shaft doesn't look long enough to support another 1/4in of spacing. The fan/pulley looks non-orig. The generator housings tag has the proper date to match the car (11/57).
