    wiper vacume 60 powerglide

can anyone tell me where the vacume is picked up for the wiper on the 1960 with powerglide trans. I know about the fitting at the rear of the carb for the standard transmission models, and my carb has the port for this fitting but I don't think it uses the same fitting as I see them in catalogs listed for all except p/g trans. I can't find any info on the auto. Thanks Don Izzo

Don, I do not have washers on my PG 60, so I can't speak fully to your question, but the vaccuum is taken from the driver's side rear stud that mounts the carb. The stud for this is hollow and feeds to a "Y" fitting which feeds the vaccuum advance on one leg and the vaccuum modulator on the transmission on the other. The hose that feeds the modulator is a larger diameter than the hose that feeds the advance, hence the special PG only fitting. I would imagine that the washer hose routing would be shown in the back of your AIM, but I am not at a place where I can access mine right now.
