NCRS member is victim of sniper attack

Hello all,

I am sadden to report that long time NCRS and recent MAC member Dean Meyers of Gaithersburg, MD is one of the victims of the recent sniper killings in this area. I was watching America's Most Wanted last night and they had a short profile of him (and the other victims) driving a mid-year Corvette Coupe. He was shot Oct 9th while fueling his car at a Sunoco station in Manassas, VA.

A Dean H. Meyers Memorial Fund has been established in Douglasville, PA 19518. The memorial fund information was received from John St. Peter and it's all that I have at this time.

Kind of brings it a little closer to home, doesn't it. I have many Corvette friends in the area and I worry about them constantly. Dean will be in my prayers.

My son lives and works in the area. He stated everyone seems to be more on edge than with 9-11 or anthrax. Not much I can do but pray. Don H. 5190
