Re: Weather stripping recommendation
Try your local Chevy or a National Corvette GM new car Dealer, I just purchased hood weatherstrip for my 1965. You can receive a 25% dicount if you use the name of a local shop (body or mechanical). I also purchase from Corvette America 1-800-458-3475, Paragon 1-800-882-4688, or Al Knoch (Top only) 1-800-880-8080. Good luck, buy the best weatherstrip you can. When installing new weatherstrip, keep compressed as much as possible. Example, do not leave doors ajar at night or storage. Use a small amount of white lithem grease at locations were the wheaterstrip meets the paint. These are suggestions that worked for me.- Top

Re: Weather stripping recommendation
Larry,
1. If available, GM weatherstripping is by far the best, bar none. It's also much more expensive.
2. Only two companies currently reproduce weatherstripping for your Corvette: Corvette Rubber, and Metro Moulded Parts. Everyone else sells their product(s). I suggest seeing both in person. In my opinion, Metro is slightly softer and smoother. The Corvette Rubber products are "slightly" more original in appearance, but also can be identified once you've seen GM vs. CR. vs. MMP. The Corvette Rubber products are also carried by the majority of vendors and are usually less expensive.
