    If you think they dont bend just try opening the door on any year conv. with it jacked on the side rail.coupes are much stronger. Bill

    Yes it flexes, but there should be no damage to it by jacking, unless there has been some shoddy body repairs or the frame is soft.

      Gee, whenever I removed a tire or worked on a corner area, I just followed the jacking instructions found in the owners manual. This meant placing the jack under the lower A- arm or under the rear axle near the rebound strap. I've never had a problem, nor have I noticed any undo-stress. But, I must admit, I have never listened or watched that closely for twisting. I can take it! I'll fess up today and admit that I was wrong. I just hate to see him glow! Thanks everone!
