    c4 '92 just died??

Beautiful day - washed my '92 Convertible (with hood down). After I pulled it back into the garage I noticed that the antenna mast was not fully down and called my wife to help turn the radio on and off while I cleaned and re-oiled the mast. She sat in the non-running car, turned the key to "ON" and warning messages flashed and the interior lights flicked and became dim. A fast repeating click, like a metranome, can be heard behind the glove compartment when the key is "off" or "Lock".

It acts like low voltage with diming lights that go out when I turn the key to "start". There is no radio, or radio panel lights either. The head lights come on slowly and are very dim as well. But it started and ran perfectly as I pulled it out and back into the garage.

Also, "jumping" the battery from another battery or my battery charger at the 50 amp level has no effect. This has never happened to me on this or any Corvette.

    Any suggestions?

Try cleaning and tightning the cable connections. Most likely got them wet.

disconnect the battery and attach the jumpers just to the battery cables because if the orignal battery shorted out inside it will not jump or take a charge.
