Winters Foundry produced castings for Chevrolet for many years, from, at least, 1955 through, at least, 1992. This included castings used in PRODUCTION and SERVICE cast aluminum parts. They may also have made some experimental castings for GM, but many experimental castings originated from other sources, too. You didn't mention what the casting number is for the pieces that you have. Just knowing that it's from Winters Foundry, that it's a "C2 427 435 hp", and the date code leaves a lot of territory uncovered. If it has no casting numbers, at all, then they may have been ground off, making ID difficult or impossible. Usually, even experimental castings had a casting number which often began with "O".In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Casting GM #3894374 is a rectangular port, 3 X 2 aluminum manifold used for L-71 engines for the 1967 model year. There is nothing experimental or unusual about it. It was a PRODUCTION piece. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

The manifold is quite valuable; perhaps more valuable than the 69 manifold given the "affection" which a lot of folks have for 67s. However, it will not fit a 69; the 69 L-71 manifold was a lower profile manifold due to the lower profile hood of the 68-72 Corvettes. The 69-69 manifold will fit the 67 (although incorrect), but the the 67 manifold will not fit the 68-69.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
