Well, I may have pulled a dumb one last week, without thinking I bought a set of trim parts GM restoration parts lights on Ebay...and asked for the set with the clear backups thinking all 66's had this. I realized from Joe's post today the backups were an option, not standard. My 66 425 car is in boxes as far as the original items go, and the lenses were gone, just the old pitted housings were in the box. So..I don't know if my car has these lights or not. Other than the lens color being clear vs red, was the bulb a different type socket in each version? I realize the wiring harnass would be different, supporting the reverse feed for the backup lights in one case. Just wondering what I am up against if I bought the wrong ones...thx!....Craig

All 66's had the backup light "option". The real question is what determined if the car came equipped with the standard or day/night inside mirror. -

Mark - THX! Guess I am good to go, for some reason I thought that too. I saw Joes post (below) referencing the optional lights. I guess they all had the optional lights!.....thx again!....CraigComment
