    '57 Choke adjustment

I am not sure if there is a problem or not. When the engine is cold the choke plate is about 3/8" open. The plate is restricted by the linkage until the linkage is advanced. When the accelerator linkage is advanced, the choke plate closes. Is this the correct action or should the linkage not interfere with the action of the chok mechanism? thanks

you should have "hit" the gas pedal to "set" the choke when the engine is cold. this also give the engine a "shot" of fuel to help with the startup.
