    C1: Thermostat Housing

What is the correct part number and material (cast iron vs. aluminum) for the thermostat housing of very early '57 vettes with dual-quads and aluminum intake (245 hp)? I think the NCRS judging manual is a little unclear about it. Thanks.

I have that # sitting on my desk as a paper weight. I took it off my 1956 Corvette. It is made of cast iron. If there is a need for it other than it's present function let me know as I do not anticipate returning to the C1 neighborhood.

          Before VIN #2000 = 2375018 (iron); after VIN #2000 = 3837223 (aluminum).

            Jack,

Thanks for the offer. I have this P/N thermostat housing which is not in great shape but it might work after I clean it and paint it. I will be happy to purchase yours if I see that mine will not get to the shape I want it (I assume, of course, that yours is in much better shape after all these years used just for paper weight...)
