Does anyone know what the Glass Car Company was? Where was the business located and what did they do etc. Are any of the owners still alive and where could they be reached. Thanks in advance.

Re: The Glass Car Company
If you are referring to the Northern New Joisey "Glass Car Company" of the late 1970's - they aghhh, ahhhh went belly up. The principal, errrr, ahhhh owner was found to be selling the same car to several people at the same time. Some of the new car "owners" became upset. We called him Larry Megabucks. It was sortof a take off on his name. I don't know if the penitentiary was involved when this fine establishment folded its tent.

Re: The Glass Car Company
Larry Megabow's Glass Car Company was originally located on Hamburg Turnpike in the Wayne,New Jersey area. The actual town could have been Pompton Lakes,as the building was right on the boarder. He later relocated to Route 23 in Butler,New Jersey. He had a beautiful facility and sold Vettes and other exotics;I believe I saw a Cobra coupe there. As reported, cars that were shown on consignment were sold to several people(at once)and then the place folded. Several newspaper articles said Larry was found in Canada selling used cars and then a heart attack ended it all.Hmmmm. I had a 1972 roadster that my father purchased there prior to the inventory vanishing and the door closing. Fortunately, the title was legit and we enjoyed the car for many years. I think I even have a business card filed away if you would like to know the exact address(lastI saw, it was a garage door company). Regards,Kieran #11373- Top
