C3 Goodyear Speedway Tires

Goodyear tires by Kelsey tire company size F 70/15 Goodyear Speedway Wide Tread.
These are for the 1968 to 1972 C3 model. Have the Firestones on the car now and they are not correct as far as the tread pattern. I know the Goodyears are like the originals except for the codes stamped on the rear of the tired and some minor details. Looking to pick up a set and would like to know from somebody who did some driving on these tires how they are. Most of the people that I spoke to don't drive the cars except for short distances. Will have to drive to a few regionals and a National as I parted with the trailer. Also if someone has a set for sale drop me a e-mail.

John, I had te Kelsey Goodyear reproductions on my 70 LS-5. I drove it sparingly(500 miles a year)for a few years and found them to be on the low end of acceptable. I made a 75 mile trip to an NCRS event and the rest were short trips. I would think you could get by with them. They do drive poorly when cold but improve as the temperature of the tire increases. A recent post on this board indicated they have corrected the middle line in the "E" problem which was the only way to seperate it from an original at first glance. They were priced at $175 per tire. I was unable to buy them for less due to the Goodyear dealers requirement to buy them through Kelsey. All in all I think they are an excellent reproduction.
