C1 Questions for Judging

I have acouple of questions concerning a 1960 base eng. For judging purposes what are the judges looking for as the right color for the carb return spring, light green or black.
Also color should the spark plug boots be orange or black. I know what the JM
says, but I want to be sure. Thanks in advance.

Yes....

There are a handful of error/typos that crept into the current edition of the '58-60 JG book. Tim Mickey was 'kicking' himself over this at the Des Moines Regional and the spark plug wire boot color call out is one of them....

Black on the boots, and lime green on the spring. Just got back from Waco about a hour ago and recieved no point deducts on either of these two items on my 60.
As a side note I have yet to find a green spring that has sufficient tension to properly close the throttle, and are only good for showing. I left it on my car while loading it tonight and just about drove off the front of the trailer!
