I finally found my notes on that 1969 Corvette 427 engine with the overstamp that I saw in Cincinnati in early 1998. The block was cast 3935439 E 10 8 and stamped T0603IM over maybe IJ. The car VIN on the block was for '69 #948. The crank was #6223.
This was a factory overstamp in my opinion. The engine owner did not have any Corvette and had never owned '69 #948. This was his spare engine block for his Willys dragster.
