Hi I am new to this board. I am looking for info on a 1969 427, 435hp, t-top. I own one, but what I am looking for specifically is a web site to go to or someone to ask, for where I can go with the VIN to my car that can tell me what originaly came on the car, and if I have an L89 or if I have the rare Z model..... can someone help me plz?????

The only information contained in the VIN is the body style and sequential production number, and there are no records for St. Louis-built Corvettes. Only two ZL-1's were built, and there are three well-known cars out there that each claim to be one of the original two. Have you looked to see if your tank sticker is still there or if there's a build sheet stuffed up under the dash (between the tach and speedo)? That's the only documentation that would identify the car's original configuration, other than the original price sticker or Protect-O-Plate.
