I will be replacing the incorrect headlights on my '56 soon and need to know if there are any repro's that are correct. Occasionally there are NOS ones for sale and they are rather pricey yet I have heard that most repro's aren't correct. What is the best way to go? I do not plan on having it judged but do want it as correct as I can get it. Thanks.

Re: T3 Headlights for my '56
The reproductions are made by Wagner Electric, are pretty decent headlights for driving, and are reasonably correct (pebble-grain in the triangle) - the height of the "sealed beam" letters and the presence of the "DOT" marking will cost a few points, but if you intend to drive it at night and aren't concerned about judging, why bother with 47-year-old dim headlights that cost more than new (and brighter) reproductions? The repros are expensive enough at $100/pr. as it is. They didn't come with seat belts either, but would you drive without them?- Top
