    Corvette Sew-on patches

Does anyone have a good source for Corvette "sew-on" patches, particularly C2?

John, let me answer your question in an oblique manner. First, I don't have a source for these directly. However, when our kids went off to college, my wife went into the Yellow Pages and found someone who embroiders out of their home. She put each kid's initials on their towels. I liked what I saw, and had one of those collapsible metal and nylon chairs that are so popular, emroidered with my wife's Mustang as a logo. The woman's computer had 10000 or more different items that she could do and we went through hundreds of Mustang stuff until I found the right one. Then, again using her computer, she changed the color of the body and convertible top to match my wife's car. It was a fun project. If you don't find what you are looking for directly, you might give my method a shot. This woman did have lots of different Corvette images in her computer.

      Hi John,
Patches became scarce with the advent of computer-controlled "direct embroidery" machines about 10-12 years ago. Now you can embroider a very elaborate logo directly on the item. Mid America Designs and many others sell dozens of different Chevrolet licensed embroidered items. Give them a try.

Mid America was started by Mike selling sew-on patches out of the trunk of his car. You'd think that if anyone still has them, he does.

Custom embroidery is the way to go. I had a hat done at Carlisle this summer and it was well done by DCS Custom Embroidery. They put my 66 Conv. on there correct color and all. Check them out www.dcspcs.com or E-mail sales@dcspcs.com

          hope this helps, Dave
