'57 paint code

I have original DuPont paint chip sheets for 56 and 57 Chevies and Corvettes. The Corvette part lists comb. #712 as Cascade Green with an insert colour of Dark Turquoise Metallic with a DUCO number of 1693. Shoreline Beige is listed as the interior colour.

There is also listed a Dark Blue Metallic with a DUCO number of 90217 for an insert also with comb #712.

Were the blue and dark turquoise ever used? Is the blue possibly the one used on the inserts and stripes of the '56 and '57 Sebring racecars?

Arctic blue is listed as comb #713 (beige interior) and comb #720 (red interior), and the DUCO numbers are different so I don't think it's that blue.

Every reference I have says only silver and beige were used as optional two-tone colors for the cove, except for Ivory (Lucite) coves with Inca Silver (Lucite) exterior body color. Neither the Dark Turquoise or Dark Blue appear anywhere on the original April '57 GM Styling color release charts. Possibly they were considered for production during development and released to DuPont for mastering, and were cancelled before production, but after DuPont released their charts.

That is probably the case, but even my '58 chip set that shows the two prior years has these colours listed. Kinda funny that DuPont didn't figure it out for a while. Thanks for the answer John, it was the answer I really expected. Still, it would've been an interesting colour combination...
