c-2 heater blower too slow: suggestions pleas

Hello all, I have a 67 that I plan on driving a lot. Problem is that the heater blower is way too slow, any of you upgraded the blower to make it really output well? sure there is a way to do this, with all the talent out there I knw someone has an idea ...

I never considered the heater blower to be "slow". It has three speeds.
Do all three speeds work on your car?

Yes all three speeds work, slow, slower and slowest, need more volume any suggestions?

Corvettes always had a reputation for having GREAT heaters. That's because they essentially used B-body cores and blower motors, but had considerably less interior volume to heat.

You might want to run voltage checks at the blower motor power lead. At full speed it should show full system voltage. The lower speeds cut voltage by adding one or two series resistors that are mounted on the heater housing.

If the voltage readings appear normal, you might just have a weak blower motor for some reason.

Could be a weak motor or low voltage, but a poor ground would affect all three speeds as well.

I agree with Duke that when they work right, the heaters are very good.

If the voltages check out okay, you may want to check the motor itself to see how much drag it has due to bad bearings or brushes. I do not know of a good way to determine if it is good except that it should spin 'pretty' freely.

I would run a wire directly from the battery hot side to the hearter motor RED WIRE to see how fast it runs with a full 12V, makeing sure the motor housing is grounded, that will make it run at top speed ,by passing the heater switch.
