    C1 - broken wheel stud

What is the best way to remove a broken wheel stud from the axel plate? Broken flush to the plate, and doesn't seem to want to back out. WD-40 and a couple of light wacks isn't doing it...don't want to bend the axle plate out of true. I have a puller, but try as I might, can't seem to get it to fit over the plate in such a way as to make it work, besides, I have nothing to attach to !!!

You must back up the axle flang then useing a punch and hammer drive it out. That is the way I do it. Back up the flang again and hammer the new one in.

you didn't say if it is the front or rear. if it is the front you will need to pull the hub and put it in a press. if it is the rear put something behind it for support and beat it out.
