    AIM Cement

Is there a particular brand of cement that works better than others? I'm replacing missing jack handle pads in the trunk and spacers in the corners of my battery hold down. What was utilized in the assembly line originally? Did it have any yellow tint to it or was it on the clear side? Just might be burning brain cells over small stuff. Don't really know how important this issue is.

The adhesive that you are referring to that was used in the original manufacture of Corvettes was very similar, if not identical, to 3M Super Weatherstrip Cement. You can purchase this in many automotive stores and hardware stores. It is "yellowish" in color. With significant aging it turns a much paler shade of yellow or turns "brownish".
