C2 Period - Carter carb 3508SA

CAn anyone identify this carb? I'm planning on rebuilding my 3721SA off my 65 327/300 this winter and found a guinea pig that I'd like to try to rebuild first.

The seller states its a 3508SA but doesn't know what it came off of. To the untrained eye it looks to be identical to the 3721SA carter but does not have a choke tube and fitting for the clean air tube.

Does anyone know what the 3508SA came off of and is it similar to the 3721SA?

my list does not show a 3508 AFB and the closest is 3503 which is a buick carb.

The Carter 3508SA is a 1963-64 vintage carburetor, but I can find no application, whatsoever, for it. And, this includes any application across all of the GM, Chrysler, Ford, and American Motors product lines. So, if this is the correct number, I would have to conclude that this was a SERVICE-only carburetor from the 63-64 period and, perhaps, an over-the-counter type unit intended for general applications.
