I'm in the process of rebuilding the PS control valve. I got it all apart, cleaned, and now I'm waiting for parts. (Should be here today). The 1967 judging manual says the control valve is semi-gloss black. My question is which parts? All of them? There are 3 bolts w/lock washers. There is a rubber boot, that is held on with a boot clamp. There is a bolt thing that slides into the steering relay rod. There is a castle nut on the end of the bolt. There is a cotter pin in the bolt. Is everything painted? From the looks of mine, the boot clamp is natural finish, the bolt thing is unpainted, but the housing/bolts are painted poorly. Was it painted after it was assembled? Is the paint I see overspray? BTW, there appears to be a date stamp on my control valve. Its hard to read but it looks like something -67. Thanks for any help. - David Knowles '67 427/390 convertible.
