I am planning to change the front seal on my '63 4 speed. What is the easiest method for draining the diff lube ? Thanks.

If you mean prior to pulling the pinion seal, Peter, there isn't an effective way. But it's going to happen mostly on its own when you pop the seal so have a catch can ready.
You could stick a suction tube through the fill hole but that takes a long time and doesn't give you a complete drain.
