Hello all,
Does anyone know if Carter mixed the main body, air horn and throttle body casting numbers on their single 4bbl WCFB's at will? Here's what I mean, according to the The Corvette Restorer Volume I it shows a 1960-61 with carb #3059,main body #0-1343 or 0-1517, air horn #6-1396 and throttle body #1-1582.
However, when one is up for bid on Ebay I hardly ever see this combination. Sometimes the main body number matches but not the air horn or throttle body. Of course there's hardly ever a 3059S carb tag or it's crumpled beyond recognition. Also, in what year did they add the additional vacumn port at the very top near the opening. All responses are appreciated.
Regards,
Mike
