C2 Body Sealer and Primer

I just completed chemical stripping of my '64 Roadster. The front end had previously been damaged and repaired and most of the repair area stripped to bare fiberglass. The rest of the body is mostly reddish brown and very smooth. In some areas there is a light blue overlay. Is this the original factory sealer and primer?
If so, what would be equivalent and compatible today? Thanks for your help.

The original primer is red oxide (reddish brown), and has a tenacious grip--DO NOT REMOVE IT. I don't know what the bluish substance is.

My 65 is currently in the paint shop receiving its Gleen Green Lacquer. If you have chemicaly striped the car, make sure you wash the body very well after each chemical stripping application. I am using PPG lacquer and the sales rep. recommend that I use a primer filler prior to appling the lacquer. They reccomend this process when fiberglass panels have been repaired. Was you car originally blue, we had a light traces of the original Glen Green paint after stripping and we block sanded exposing the orignal red primer.

I stripped my 65 roadster about a year ago and I found the same thing on it.

I've just finished stripping my 67, including the red primer. I had to wet sand that stuff off of there. The painter, Ron's Restorations, specializes in Corvettes only and said he wanted to see black fiberglass. Some of the red stuff did have cracks in it so I suppose it makes sense. The car will be gel coated, sanded, primed, sanded, etc. then painted. You could contact Ron to get his ideas on this. Ronsautorestorations.com
