Throttle Valve Linkage Adjustment
I'm concerned. I am putting the lever "b" on my cast iron powerglide and am following the steps in the ST-12 Section 7-4. The lever attached to the shaft ok, I even invented a make-do fixture to position it correctly. No problem in assembly, My concern relates to free movement.
By eye, this "b" lever has a free movement around the shaft of only approx 10 - 20 degrees, with hard "metallic" stops on both ends. When I assemble the other linkage members, rod "g" (which attachs to the carburator)has a back and forth freedom of movement of 3/4 in. total.
Is this small movement correct?
