I am making a model of this car, and am looking for interior color information. I know the car was initially painted in a "candy red" when it first appeared at the NY show. From the few b/w pictures available, I believe that the interior rear deck and dash top were painted to match the exterior, and that the lower dash was white, as was the trim strip on the inside doors.
The car was later repainted a pale green, and I believe that the interior rear deck and dash top was at the same time repainted in a darker shade of green to complement the exterior, retaining the white lower dash and door trim.
All that said, I'm in need of any confirming/denying info available on that speculation. Also, I need headliner color info (I'm guessing it might have matched the rear deck color?).
Also need seat/carpet etc colors. I'm told that the Pennant Blue '54 cars were available with a tan or beige interior, so wonder if that might have been the choice used in the Corvair with both the red and green exterior colors.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA
