I AM LOOKING TO BUT TIRES FOR MY 1961. I AM LEANING TOWARDS 205/75/R15.I SEE SOME PEOPLE HAVE 215/75/R15. I WANT TO KEEP MY STOCK RIMS AND WHEEL COVERS. IS THERE THAT MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE IN THE RIDE? ANY SOURCES FOR A GOOD QUALITY TIRE? THANKS, JOE

Joe- I use a 205/75/15R on my 62 with stock wheels and wheelcovers. The ride is great and there is no balance or shimmy problems up to 100 MPH. A good quality radial and a tight suspension is the hot setup. Your 61 if you run whitewalls
require 2 1/2 inch wide WW.. Only ones I know are the repros. Youll need feedback
on those as Ive never use them.- Top

I have Diamondback wide white radials on my 57 and love them.
No balance problems or shimmy.
I have heard other people complain about Cokers but I have no direct experience with them.
You only tested them up to 100 mph?
